If you are into the outdoors in general you can discover our region doing our walking tours, cycling tours and kayakings. For me, this is the best holiday! Multi activity holidays.

I leave a couple of suggestions bellow, but there are so many possible combinations you can always give us a ring or send an e-mail with your preferences and we make a taylor made program for you!

Day 2


  • The old and the new, the past and the present, the huch huch of a cosmopolitan city and the old quiet re-invented neighbourhoods side by side. Every stone around you tells the great story of an even greater Lisboa with its relation with the sea, the palaces, the revolution, and the big earthquake.
  • Indulge yourself in a Pastel de Nata – you will never forget them – and a typical Ginginha. Tehn we will go walking around Lisbon. Get ready to explore the uniqueness of the natural parks of Sintra and Arrábida. Each of them with its own wonders, totally different and both so close to the city!

Day 3


  • The trails of Sintra Natural Park offer superb hiking among dense forests and with astonishing sea views. In our walk tour in Sintra, in only a few hours, you will see and experience the World Heritage Site of Sintra in a way almost no visitor does: not only you will visit the village with its old palaces and manor houses but also the natural and exotic environment that surrounds it.

Day 4


  • Sea kayaking is one of the most exclusive ways of exploring the coastal areas, where we will get to places no one else does.
    Arrábida Natural Park is one of the Portuguese jewels and a very unique spot for sea kayaking, which has a dramatic steep limestone cliffs in a trueMediterranean environment gives usbreathtaking views.
    The unspoiled and many times deserted beaches makes us feel privileged, and in only a few hours, you will experience this special, unique and picturesque atmosphere.
  • Transfer to Évora, to our farm Monte do Serrado de Baixo.

Day 5-6

  • The Silver Water Aqueduct
    Leaving the guesthouse towards the 16th century aqueduct, built to solve the water shortages in the city, this walk will lead to the Ancient city of Évora. Along the way the small farms and aromatic herbs that grow by the aqueduct will keep you company. To end the day, after a visit to the most relevant historical sites, there is nothing better then a cool calm drink in Évora centre square surrounded by age old buildings feeling the flow of life passing you by.
  • The Megalithic Monuments
    Enjoy the beautiful Holm oak forest dotted by impressive granite boulders which, 6000 years ago, were used by our ancestors to build their burial sites and magic cult sites. Discover these sites and their surroundings. You will visit the Dolmen of Zambujeiro – biggest in Europe, the Cromlech of Almendres, the Menir of Almendres and the church of Mitra.
  • Van trip to Arraiolos and Évora
    Today we will take you on our van to visit Arraiolos village and its surroundings. We will stroll in the village visiting the castle and the museum. We will go to the lovely Ravasqueira farm and visit the private carriage collection and taaste their delicious wine. Then we will take you to Évorawhere you can visit the city, because it is well worth it every minute you give it!
  • The Castle of Valongo
    Today while we follow along the lovely river Degebe.  We discover old water mills and try to imagine how they worked. Then we leave the river side and start walking up to conquer wonderful views. Finally a castle starts to take shape in the horizon. It is the surreal castle of Valongo, built in the middle of nowhere by, some say, the Romans.
  • To the Tower of Evoramonte
    We start walking along a closed railway through beautiful scenery. With luck we will encounter some black pigs, cows and sheep. Then we climb steep tracks that lead to the castle of Évoramonte. At the castle follow the walls all the way around and take in the beautiful views. You can see Spain from here!
  • The Mediaeval Village
    The unforgettable village of Monsaraz, built in a castle on top of a hill, is always at view. Schist Rock walls will guide the walk around the beautiful fortification and finally the last climb conquers the castle and its stunning well-kept village and views over the Alqueva lake. In season you can even finish with a swim or a canoe trip! On the way back to the farm visit a pottery in São Pedro do Corval.

Day 7


Enjoy canoeing in Évora, an experience you won’t forget!

  • In a canoe, explore the calm waters of the river Degebe or paddle across the beautiful Divor Lake.
    A delight for the senses accompanied by the natural orchestra of the riverside birds.
    After a deserved local snack, enjoy the walk along the riverbank where rabbits, hares and partridges live amongst cows and sheep.
    Hours of total relaxation, ideal for those in search of peace and tranquillity.

Day 8


  • ROUTE 1 – The Famous Carpets
    Cycling from our guesthouse to Arraiolos and back.
    Along the ecotrail, a bike lane built on an old railway, through small farms, you’ll get to Graça do Divor, a very well preserved white and blue village.
    Good place to stop for a drink and try the delicious meat pies of Mrs Ilda!
    From here, this bike tour, heads to Arraiolos village, with its rich historical centre, famous carpets and delicious Pastéis de Toucinho. The views from its castle are unforgettable.
    It’s now time for a winery visit with a fantastic private carriage collection, a few kms later a cheese production farm where local liqueurs, jams and other regional delicacies are produced. Simply delicious!
  • ROUTE 2 – The Wine and Cork Route
    Cycling from our farm to S. Miguel de Machede
    The bike tour leaves the farm direction of Igrejinha, a very white village where all houses have stripes with different colors, given a great painting look to the place. Here there is a very beautiful winery you can visit. From here cycle to the cork factory, which will surely be the highlight of the day. See how cork is transformed and learn about all you can do with it! In the same village you can visit a knives factory and see the process to make kitchen knives, cork cutting knifes and others. Nearby there is a wonderful sanctuary with paintings covering all its walls, from the floor to the ceiling! We dare you to find the oldest one! From here ride to S. Miguel de Machede, another small country side village where you should stop for a drink at a local café. Here there is another nice winery you can visit, ending your day with a glass of wine!
  • ROUTE 3 – Megalithic monuments
    Cycling from our guesthouse to Évora and to the megalithic area.
    We propose a visit to the surreal Bone chapel and to the impressive cathedral, originally from the 13th century. Finish with a wine tasting in the Évora Wine Tour Shop. After ride to the country side discovering beautiful holm oak forests and vast meadows. A peaceful landscape of grazing cattle and cheerful birds. Cycle to Zambujeiros’ Dolmen – the biggest in Europe, the Almendres’ Cromelech – the oldest megalithic monument in Europe with a beautiful view over Évora, the Almendres Menhir and Mitras’ Church. A very complete day!
  • ROUTE 4 – Conquest of Valongo Castle
    Cycling from our guesthouse to Valongo.
    We will visit a traditional leather factory and, during season (October/November), an olive oil mill. Out of season we may be able to arrange it for you anyway (subject to availability and under request).
    We then follow to Valongo to visit the outside of its misterious castle, built in the middle of nowhere.
    From here we invite you to discover the country side at its best, following a dirt road until the gorgeous Moinho do Alcaide (a water mill) and then following along the river side passing by several mills until we reach the main road.
    We can visit a winery in the end of the tour, which makes a very interesting and original wine tasting.
  • ROUTE 5 – Évora and its surroundings
    Cycling from our farm to Évora and back
    We propose an easier cycling day, perfect to end with our cooking class! From our farm you will cycle to a cheese factory where you may do a visit and tasting. This cheese factory is very different from the one you may have visited in the Famous carpet route.
    Then cycle to our gorgeous city where you may spend the day cycling and visiting several monuments suggested by us. The city is classified by UNESCO as World Heritage Site and there is plenty to do and see. Try some of our great wines at Ervideira Wine Shop and after lunch we suggest you climb to Alto de São Bento, a favorite place for locals to watch the sun set.
  • ROUTE 6 – The Medieaval village
    Cycling from Reguengos to Monsaraz.
    Transfer to Reguengos in the morning. Today’s bike tour destination is the fortified village of Monsaraz, an important stronghold in the defense of our nation just by the border with Spain. On the way we will visit the famous pottery village of S. Pedro do Corval, where you can see the men making magic with the clay, transforming it into beautiful pots and plates, and the ladies painting them with flowers in an impressive speed. Try the work shop!
  • ROUTE 7 – The Wine and Marble Route
    Cycling from Estremoz to Terena.
    The day’s ride will lead to the marble capital of Portugal. The marble triangle will mark the landscape for the bike day. The so called white gold is the main economy driver of the region. Its richness is a constant presence in the wide streets and tall buildings. Enjoy the rare sight over distinct colored lagoons that appear on abandoned quarries. Visit a working one as well and wonder about the men that look like ants down at the bottom of the huge holes. You may chose to visit the impressive Ducal Palace of Vila Viçosa. Finish the day with the visit to the fortified sanctuary of Terena.

  • This aqueduct walk tour in Évora will lead you through the country side, along small farms and green vegetation.  You will have the opportunity to see the inside of the aqueduct and to appreciate the local architecture.
    Following the water you will reach the city, where you may continue to discover the aqueduct through the Rua do Cano (The pipe street).
